Previously, Japan Display, which has WhiteMagic technology display screens for several Sony mobile entry-level models, will also introduce 5-inch high-brightness display screens with 1080P display specifications, which are expected to be applicable to new smart phones or other products.
According to Japan Display, it is expected that 5-inch high-brightness display screens with 1080P display specifications will be provided for smart phones and other related applications, and will correspond to 446ppi display density. It also uses WhiteMagic itself, which will enable lumens to reach 840 cd/m2, so that the original screen brightness can be displayed with less power loss.
In addition to the new 5-inch high-brightness 1080P display screen, Japan Display will continue to provide VGA (640*680pixels), qHD (540*960pixels) and 720HD (720*1280pixels) display screens.
However, Japan Display did not disclose whether it will maintain cooperation with Sony Mobile in the future, so it has not been confirmed whether the new display screen will be applied to new smartphones.
