Loader clutch structure and working principle

Loaders using mechanical power transmission systems generally use the same dry friction clutch as a car or tractor. This type of clutch is generally composed of four parts: an active part, a follower part, a pressing mechanism, and an operating mechanism.

The active part includes the flywheel, the clutch shell and the gland; the driven part includes the driven plate and the driven shaft; the pressing mechanism includes the compression spring control mechanism including the release lever, the release bearing seat, the release bearing, the separation fork, and the return position. Springs, foot pedals, and adjustment levers.

When the clutch is in the engaged state, the torque of the engine is transmitted from the crankshaft, the driven disk is driven by the flywheel and the pressure plate through friction, and then transmitted to the transmission through the driven shaft.

When the foot pedal is depressed, the inner end of the separating lever is pushed to the left by adjusting the pull rod, the separating yoke, and the separate bearing housing with the release bearing, since the center of the detaching lever is the fulcrum of the pillar on the clutch shell. The end is articulated with the pressure plate so that the pressure of the compression spring can be overcome and the pressure plate is pulled to the right. In this way, the pressing force on both sides of the driven plate disappears, the friction force also disappears, the torque of the engine no longer enters the transmission, and the clutch is in a disengaged state.

When the pedal is released, the pedal returns to its original position and the release bearing housing is pulled to the right by the return spring. At this point, the pressure spring pushes the pressure plate to press the driven plate against the flywheel, and the torque of the engine is transmitted to the transmission.
