Recently, the Turkish shipping company Atlantis Tanker Group and its management company Armona Denizcilik AS ordered the approved ballast water treatment system from Norway's Optimarin for the company's fleet of 10 ships.
The 10 ships included 2 newbuildings and 8 existing vessels. The first two systems are expected to be delivered in March and June 2016, with “Atlantis Augusta†and “Atlantis Alicanteâ€, which are currently being built at the Selay Shipyard and Selah Shipyard in Turkey.
It is reported that the remaining eight systems are expected to be delivered in 2018 and 2019 for the installation of eight ships in dry docks in 2019 and 2020. The tanker is 3446-6416 DWT and is designed to transport IMO II chemical cargo.
