The largest industrial-scale 100,000-ton/year wet-process phosphoric acid refining and technological upgrading device started construction last week at the Sanhuan branch of Yunnan Yuntianhua Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Yuntianhua Group. The total investment of the project is 250 million yuan and the construction period is 12 months. According to Hu Changwei, President of Sichuan University’s Institute of Science and Technology, the device adopts the solvent extraction wet-process phosphoric acid refining technology independently developed by Sichuan University. It has the features of simple formulation and economical rationality. Its deep desulfurization innovation process has reached the international advanced level, with independent knowledge. The large-scale vibrating screen tower technology of property rights realizes the rational use of wet-process phosphoric acid. The device uses wet-process phosphoric acid as a raw material to process industrial-grade phosphoric acid and a raffinate to produce chemical fertilizers. The energy consumption per metric ton of phosphorus pentoxide is 0.6393 tons of standard coal, which is lower than the yellow phosphorus access energy consumption standard. It conforms to the implementation plan of cleaner production technologies in 17 key industries in the country. This project was awarded the 2011 national key industry revitalization and technological transformation project special financial support. Hu Tian, ​​deputy general manager of Yuntianhua Group, said that after the plant is put into production, the wet refined phosphoric acid product will be supplied to the Yuntianhua Zhongguang Yilan Group Co., Ltd. for production of sodium tripolyphosphate by means of in-plant rail transportation. This effectively reduced the production cost of sodium tripolyphosphate, enhanced the market competitiveness of the product, and the ability of the industry to co-operate within the group, and strengthened the convergence of the industry chain. Sanhuan Branch is the first company in China to use wet-process phosphoric acid to produce high-concentration phosphate fertilizer. After 40 years of development, it has an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons of phosphoric acid and 700,000 tons of fertilizer. The construction of wet-refined phosphoric acid refinery engineering installations will bring another major development opportunity for Sanhuan Branch. After the project is implemented, it can better realize the optimization and adjustment of new product structure, increase the added value of phosphoric acid products, and play an important role for the company to extend the industrial chain and expand new fields.
