Recently, the truck manufacturing giant Scania of Sweden announced that the company plans to build one of the most advanced wind tunnels and climate simulation facilities in Europe. The facility not only helps Scania to conduct research and development work more efficiently and flexibly, but it also saves on transport, time and resource costs associated with testing trucks and buses in different climates.

It is understood that the facility is located in the research and development center of Scania headquarters - Sodertalje. It will be able to simulate various types of actual environments, from the extremely cold to the hot and humid climate, all kinds of wind conditions, and from - A varying air temperature in the range of -35°C to 50°C and a relative humidity in the range of 10% to 95%. In addition, the facility can also simulate wind speeds of up to 100 km/h.

Scania's "world class" wind tunnel and climate simulation facility is expected to be completed by March 2013.

Extensive reading:
The wind tunnel experiment is an indispensable part of the development of the aircraft. It not only plays an important role in the research and development of aviation and aerospace engineering. With the development of industrial aerodynamics, it has also been more and more widely used in transportation, building construction, wind energy utilization and environmental protection. The experiment based on the wind tunnel is based on the relative principle of movement. During the experiment, the model or object is often fixed in the wind tunnel so that the gas flows through the model. With this method, the flow conditions are easily controlled and experimental data can be obtained repeatedly and economically.
