In the development of large-capacity thermal power units in China, horizontal U-tube high-pressure heaters have a dominant position, but vertical U-tube high-pressure heaters also occupy a considerable share in the electricity market. Before August 2003, in the domestic large-scale unit 300,000 kW class high-pressure heater market, only one enterprise in China had the ability to produce such inverted vertical high-pressure heaters, and the rest were imported products. In order to improve the technical capacity and level of its own high-pressure heaters, and to break the market situation of monopolizing vertical high-pressure heaters with a monopoly of 300,000 kilowatts, Haguo decided to make a breakthrough here.
The design features and structure of the inverted vertical high-pressure heater are quite different from those of the horizontal high-pressure heater. Its structure is complex, and it is quite difficult to design and manufacture. Recently, the 330,000-kilowatt unit inverted vertical and three-stage heat transfer U-tube high-pressure heater designed and developed by Harbin Boiler Factory Co., Ltd. successfully passed the 168-hour trial operation at Huaneng Xinhua Power Plant Unit 6. Prior to this, the first 330,000 kW Huaneng Huaiyin Power Plant Phase II, No. 3 and No. 4 units, inverted vertical and three-stage heat transfer U-tube high-pressure heaters were developed in October 2004 and February 2005. Successfully, the high-pressure heaters of No. 3 and No. 4 machines have been running smoothly for more than half a year. At present, all performance indicators have reached the design value, and the equipment runs smoothly.
